5-minute Friday. (so i'll blog as if it were Thursday)

Potter opens today! but since i didnt book in advance, i didnt even bother to check show times at the theatres. i am soooooooo looking forward to watching it.

i'm gradually feeling the weight of school. work, quizes EVERY WEEK, 9am classes, people with fake American accents and what nots. but what the hell. this will NEVER compare to IT. nothing is worse than that. oh godddd, yes. so i'm happy in a... burnt-out kinda way.

talking about the accent thing.

it REALLY is strange when they have surnames like Ng, Tan and your other conventional Singaporean ones and speak with an American accent. some are CLEARLY faker than plastic purple jade bangles and some are hard to define. they are either genuine or just a superb act. but then again, probably not genuine if you have to ponder. but why does everyone fake the AMERICAN accent? cant you be more creative? try British or something, why dont you. my personal favourite.

it got on my nerves SO MUCH... i became immune to it. funny hor. but 80% of the girls speak like that. then let's go back to IT. i'd rather that anytime, over the high-pitched, fake eyelashes ah lians.

oh and then ah. there's this girl. she tells people (in her fake American accent, of course) that she's half German, half Philippino, half Singaporean. we concluded that she was 1 1/2 human. or just really, REALLY blonde. to the highest degree. and i overheard her today laughing at a joke she didnt understand. and when her friend said 'eh you funny leh, you dont understand the joke but you laugh!', she laughed more hysterically. can you tell me what's going on with her.

anyway. it is now a 25-minute Friday. i should be in bed.
